New forest fire has occurred in Luhansk region

UKRAINE – Today, on July 24, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine received information that a grass flooring caught fire near the village of Tryokhizbenka in the Novoaydarovsky district of the Luhansk region. The press service of the State Emergencies Ministry reports.

16 people and six pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing. Of these, from the State Emergencies Ministry, eight personnel and two pieces of equipment. In addition to the fire site, nine pieces of equipment follow from the State Emergency Situations Committee.

At 15:57 the fire was localized.

As we reported before, the forest caught fire in Luhansk region due to the attack of the militants.

the last large-scale forest fire occurred in Luhansk region on July 7.

The death of five people was confirmed and 34 people, including 15 children were hospitalized. 71 people appealed for medical aid to the hospital.

As a result, 10% of the total area of the forestland (5,000 hectares) destroyed, the approximate amount of losses made over 450 million hryvnias (16.6 million dollars).
