Chiloé: They controlled forest fire in El Tepual sector

CHILE – 20 hectares consumed and the work of 120 firemen is the balance of the fire that affected the sector of El Tepual, in Ancud.
The situation was controlled in the early hours by 130 volunteers from different locations, who were supported by lorry trucks.
The fire quickly spread to the edge of the road, which prevented traffic at times, due to the lack of visibility due to the smoke.
Javier Moreira, commander of the Ancud Fire Brigade, indicated that “we arrived at a sinister interface between the forest and a house, when it was already extinct, the wind appeared, which played a bad trick”.
For its part, the Intendency of the Los Lagos Region, decreed yellow alert for the commune, which will be maintained until conditions warrant.

CHILE – 20 hectáreas consumidas y la labor de 120 bomberos es el saldo del incendio que afectó al sector de El Tepual, en Ancud.
La situación fue controlada en horas de la madrugada por 130 voluntarios de diversas localidades, quienes fueron apoyados por camiones aljibes.
El fuego, rápidamente se extendió hasta la orilla de la carretera, lo que impidió por momentos el tránsito, ante la nula visibilidad producto del humo.
Javier Moreira, comandante del Cuerpo de Bomberos de Ancud, indicó que “llegamos por un siniestro interfase entre bosque y una vivienda. Cuando ya estaba extinguido apareció el viento, lo que jugó una mala pasada”.
Por su parte, la Intendencia de la Región de Los Lagos, decretó Alerta amarilla para la comuna, la que se mantendrá hasta que las condiciones lo ameriten.
