MEXICO – Acaxochitlán- Yesterday afternoon, the presence of smoke in the region caused concern among residents, after a forest fire of great magnitude recorded in the forest area of Agua Linda (Acaxochitlán) and Ojo de Agua (Cuautepec).
From the center of Tulancingo, as well as in different localities of that municipality as well as Santiago Tulantepec and the demarcations involved, it was remarkable the cloud of smoke that derived from the disaster, which was attended by forest brigades and firefighters of the region.
Controls of the emergency corporations indicated that the presence of white smoke was due to the fact that the fire was being smothered.
In addition, it was explained that due to the strong gusts of wind recorded in the area, the smoke reached several locations, however, it did not represent a risk to the health of the population.
Authorities acknowledged that the area affected is one of the largest in the current season of forest fires, however, it was not necessary to evacuate the population or secure buildings.
At the close of this edition, the fight against the fire continued, without registering any reports due to the effects on the population. Likewise, the causes of the accident are unknown.
In addition, some towns in Tulancingo were included in the monitoring by the authorities, due to their proximity to the area where the fire was registered.

Until Monday, the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (Semarnat) accounted for 84 forest fires, with an affected area of 1,160 hectares.
3,656 combatants divided into gangs from federal, municipal and voluntary agencies participated in the care of the incidents; these last ones added thousand 863, according to the informative card of the Semarnat.
Acaxochitlán and Singuilucan are ahead in the list of municipalities with more forest disasters with 11 each, followed by Tulancingo, Cuautepec and Tepeapulco with eight, seven and six, respectively.
Until Monday, the locations with the most hectares burned by fires were Tepeapulco with 232 and Mineral de la Reforma with 220.
Alarma incendio forestal a pobladores
MEXICO – Acaxochitlánc-cLa tarde de ayer, la presencia de humo en la región causó preocupación entre habitantes, luego de un incendio forestal de gran magnitud registrado en la zona forestal de las localidades Agua Linda (Acaxochitlán) y Ojo de Agua (Cuautepec).
Desde el centro de Tulancingo, así como en diversas localidades tanto de ese municipio como de Santiago Tulantepec y las demarcaciones involucradas, era notable la nube de humo que derivó del siniestro, el cual fue atendido por brigadas forestales y bomberos de la región.
Mandos de las corporaciones de emergencia indicaron que la presencia de humo blanco se debía a que el fuego estaba siendo sofocado.
Además, se explicó que debido a las fuertes ráfagas de viento registradas en la zona, el humo llegó a diversas localidades, sin embargo, no representaba riesgo para la salud de la población.
Autoridades reconocieron que la zona de afectación es una de las más grandes de la actual temporada de incendios forestales, sin embargo, no fue necesario evacuar a la población o asegurar edificios.
Al cierre de esta edición, continuaba el combate del incendio, sin registrar reportes por afectaciones a la población. Asimismo, se desconocen las causas del siniestro.
Además, algunas localidades de Tulancingo fueron incluidas en el monitoreo por parte de las autoridades, debido su cercanía con la zona donde se registró el fuego.

Hasta el lunes, la Secretaría de Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales (Semarnat) contabilizó 84 incendios forestales, con una superficie afectada de mil 160 hectáreas.
Participaron en la atención de los siniestros 3 mil 656 combatientes divididos en cuadrillas de instancias federales, municipales y voluntarios; estos últimos sumaron mil 863, según la tarjeta informativa de la Semarnat.
Acaxochitlán y Singuilucan van a la cabeza en la lista de municipios con más siniestros forestales con 11 cada uno, le siguen Tulancingo, Cuautepec y Tepeapulco con ocho, siete y seis, respectivamente.
