Australia — A South Australian Country Fire Service firefighter has been injured while battling a grass fire at Lower Light north of Adelaide.

Two water bombers are helping fight the blaze, near Port Wakefield Road, which started at about 1:00pm.

It is being fanned by strong winds and is moving south-easterly towards Big Rabbit Road, Earl Road and Porter Road.

About 300 hectares has been burnt so far.

In Victoria, a total fire ban has been declared for most of the state, with temperatures across the state forecast to peak well above 30 degrees Celsius.
