Australia –THE Tasmania Fire Service website received more than four million hits on Saturday.

There were another 10.5 million on Sunday during the weekend bushfire emergency.

Police and Emergency Management Minister David O’Byrne said the Emergency Alert system was again used to alert residents in the Meadowbank area about the need to put their bushfire plans into action.
