USA — The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office will use AmeriCorps volunteers to help in wild land fire mitigation in several areas of El Paso County.
The visits by the AmeriCorps team will happen from January 8 through March 11 and from May 1 to June 21.
AmeriCorps is a national volunteer program with federal oversight. The participants are ages 17 and older. Part of the benefit to completing a 10 month to one year commitment with AmeriCorps is an education award to pay for college or for existing student loans.
