USA —  Two men were arrested after it was learned they were stealing metal from a property burned during the recent wildfires in Wrightwood, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Victor Valley station officials said on Monday.

Christopher Robin Blagg, 39, and Daniel Lee Tolliver, 30, both of Phelan, were arrested Friday for burglary and criminal threats.

The victim was at his lot in the 5800 block of Ridley Court trying to salvage some of the metal left by the fire and found three men on his property, authorities said. This was not the first time metal thieves hit the victim’s property.

The man tried to detain the men in their vehicle on his property as he called for police but one of the men threatened the victim and they were able to get away.

Later in the day, deputies Steve Spagon and Chris Henry were able to identify Blagg and Tolliver as the thieves. Both were booked into Victor Valley Jail and are being held on $125,000 bail each.
