A family of four lost their home yesterday, when a bush fire got out of control in Carr Trace, Caparo.

According to reports, Kalicharran Guyadeen, his wife Sherissa and two children were at his in-laws’ home a short distance away, when they received the news that their home was ablaze.

When they arrived, the wooden structure was completely destroyed. Firefighters from the Arima Fire Station responded. Only the family’s pet dog was saved. Councillor Sahadeo Boondoo met with the family and promised assistance.
