USA– Two children and their mother were hurt when their house went up in flames in northwest Harris County Saturday.
The fire broke out just after midnight on Majestic Forest near River Mill. The home was already engulfed in flames by the time firefighters with the Klein and Ponderosa Fire Departments arrived.
“We tried to make an interior attack, but quickly went defensive,” said Doug Wilson with the Klein Volunteer Fire Department. “We saw that there was heavy fire all throughout the house. In fact, we even pulled a second alarm.”
A family of four lived in the home. The mother and two teenage daughters were hospitalized for smoke inhalation and minor burns. The father wasn’t hurt.
Investigators are looking into the cause of the fire. They say the house is a total loss.
