Fire fighters extinguish flames close to Krichim, Southern Bulgaria

Bulgaria — The flames in the southern municipality of Krichim have been contained, but the fire fighters are putting out the fire raging in a peat area, Georgi Kunev, spokesman for the Fire Safety and Rescue Service in the district of Plovdiv, told FOCUS News Agency.
He added the situation had improved. Some 40 people fire fighters, forestry workers and Civil Protection workers are extinguishing the fire. They expect it will be put out completely by the end of the day.
