Azerbaijan — A forest range is on fire in Sighirli village of Kurdamir region.

Firefighting brigades from the regions of Kurdamir, Aghsu, Zardab and Sabirabad are involved in the extinguishing of the fire. 23 hectares of forest were already burned.

APA local bureau reports that there are six firefighting vehicles and several water tanks in the area. The fire began in the 100-ha forest range at about 15.44 on July 20. The hot and windy weather caused the extension of fire into the large territories and complicated its prevention.

40-ha reaped grain field and pasture owned by the local municipality were burned as a result of fire in Sighirli village near the Baku-Tbilisi railway.

Another fire incident took place in the town of Kurdamir. The fire in the private house began at about 16.35 on July 20 caused damages in the neighbor houses as well. The fire was extinguished by the local firefighters.

A stable and 7 tons of hay were burned as a result of fire in Shilyan village of Kurdamir last evening. The fire was extinguished.

The fire occurred outside the military unit in Kurdamir region caused damages on a military vehicle and 20-ha pasture.
