Brush Fire Shuts Down SR-50 In Brevard

USA — Heavy smoke from a brush fire shut down State Road 50 in Brevard County Saturday afternoon.
The fire burned west of Interstate 95 and moved west along SR 50.
About 100 acres were burned before crews were able to bring it under control.
At no point were any homes or structures in danger.
The road is expected to be shut down well into the evening, and officials said it will only be reopened once the smoke conditions are cleared.
There’s still no word as to what caused the fire.
