Australia — Information on fires burning in Tasmania can now be accessed on mobile phones.
Mike Brown from the Tasmanian Fire Service says the comprehensive website service has been updated to include mobile users.
He says it’s now even easier to access bushfire information this summer.
“People go to our website, which is www.fire.tas.gov.au, and then backslash and mobile, write mobile in, they can then get it in the format that can more easily transmit and be read from mobile devices such as web-enabled phones,” said Mr Brown.
