These images from the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASAs Terra and Aqua satellites show fire activities on 1 and 2 April 2007, in Central America.
In Costa Rica, three fires have been burning since end of March in theNational Park Guanacaste, which is located in the pacific north of the country.About 2.000 ha of forest have been consumed by the fires so far.
In Panama fires nearby the Volcan Barú, which is located in the west next tothe boarder to Costa Rica, have been reported at the end of March.
