Smoke from High-Intensity Wildfires in Alaska and Land-Clearing Fires in Brazil

In two regions in the world large smoke plumes have been observed during the recent days that are injected into the troposphere – land clearing fires in Brazil, and wildfires started by lightning in Alaska.
