GFMC: Forest Fires in India

Several scattered fires (red dots) were detected by theModerateResolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on the Terra satellite across India. Firesoccurr in the States of Gujarat and MadhyaPradesh, near the rivers Tapi and Narmada. There are also scattered firesespecially in the States of Maharashtra and Karnataka.
