Forest fire raging in Gifu 


GIFU, Japan – Smoke from a forest fire in Gifu Prefecture, central Japan, is blown by
strong winds April 5. The fire spread to Kakamigahara in the prefecture as local
authorities urged more than 1,000 households to evacuate.

Gifu forest fire rages, 256 residents advised to evacuate
A forest fire in Gifu spread to nearby Kakamigahara in Gifu Prefecture on Friday, prompting the
local authorities to issue an evacuation advisory for more than 1,000 households, local government officials said. (16:35)

OKAYAMA, Japan, April 4
Forest fire spreads, 76 households urged to evacuate
Seventy-six households in Bizen, Okayama Prefecture, were ordered to evacuate Thursday
after a forest fire broke out near homes, Bizen city officials said. (18 :34)
