Fire crews battle blaze in Bendick Murrell National Park

AUSTRALIA – A fire near Bendick Murrell is burning out of control on Friday afternoon.

The bush fire has burnt 78 hectares in Bendick Murrell National Park, Bunnies Road, Wirrimah about 4.20pm.

According to South West Slopes Zone Rural Fire Service, crews and aircraft are working to contain the fire.

It started soon after a storm swept through the region, which dumped hailstones on Harden.

Rural Fire Service crews also attended a grass fire near Young Airport on Campbells Road, Maimuru shortly after 3pm.

The two hectare blaze had been brought under control.
