USA — A remote control jet crashed in Forest Grove, starting a brush fire that spread to a power pole.
The crash happened around 1:30 p.m. on NW Strohmayer Road, authorities said. The jet came from a nearby model air park, and set the brush on fire when it crashed. It spread quickly and caught the power pole on fire.
PGE was called to cut the power to the pole, which allowed the firefighters the chance to finish fighting the fire.
It was contained to one acre, officials said. No one was hurt.
