Georgia — According to the regional gamgebeli, Mr. Giorgi Abashvili, the fire broke out on December 11th, while the reason for the fire was unknown.
“The location of the fire is so remote, that it is impossible to reach the hearth of the fire neither on foot, nor by car. The only way to localize the fire is by involving the aviation, however, we are currently refraining from doing so, since the weather is deteriorating and precipitation is expected, stated Abashvili.
The gamgebeli also noted that the fire had spread to an area of 30-40 hectares. Deciduous, as well as coniferous trees were ablaze. The fire, however, was later successfully localized and extinguished.
