Earlier Newswatch told you about the massive inferno in the Catherdral Peak area of the uKhahlamba Drakensberg Park – a World Heritage Site.

Working on Fire’s Zanele Nxumalo says a third team of ground fire fighters has been sent to the area to assist in extinguishing the blaze.

She says their firefighters are also trying douse the flames of three other fires.

“There is one (fire) at Winterton – but they are mopping up, and then we’ve got another fire at Vryheid. We’ve got one team there, and (at) Eshowe as well (were) we’ve got a fire going on. We’ve got one team there from Working on Fire.”
