Nepal — A child was found dead by a forest fire in Salyan district. The seven years old child Mohan Pariyar was killed by the fire in Rumal village forest of Swikot village development committee. The child was went to the forest for fodder collection. A local resident Mr. Hemanta Oli said the child was unable to escape from the surrounded fire.
The fire is burning for seven days about 45 km far from the district center. The fire was said to be set to remove the cones of pine for making ease for walking and for new grasses for cattle grazing.
Nobody has taken initiative to extinguish the fire according to the District Forest Office Salyan.
