Fire occurs in Jeiranbatan water reservoir in Azerbaijan

Fire occurred near the specially-protected stripe of Jeiranbatan water reservoir in Khirdalan city at about 15.30 today, APA reports. Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry Forestry Department head Rovshan Jalilov reported that the fire caught 30-35 hectares of forestry. The grass cover was damaged by the fire. The fire could not affect trees.
About 15 fire engines of Emergencies Ministry arrived in the scene. They could bring the fire under control at about 18.30.
Mr. Jalilov said the case is being investigated, and Khirdalan district executive power was appealed regarding that. According to him, often fire cases are caused by carelessness of people.
