Indonesia — Indonesia prepared to send in the troops to fight brush firesthat have sent a gray haze over Malaysia and Singapore.
Wildlife reserves have been shrouded in black smog and thousands of childrenhave been kept out of schools.
“We will deploy troops to … fight the fires,” Indonesia’smilitary chief Djoko Suyanto said.
They faced a monumental task, with hundreds of hotspots covering a vast area,mostly on Borneo and Sumatra.
