Victoria, Australia — An interstate television advertising campaign to lure visitors to the Grampians in Victoria hit the small screen yesterday.

Grampians Marketing Inc funded the campaign to kick start tourism after the January bushfires.

The advertisements are being aired across Melbourne, regional Victoria and South Australia.

The Southern Grampians Shire tourism manager, Hugh Koch, says it is a unique time to visit the national park.

“There’s a magnificent mosaic of new vegetation which is apparent on any of the lookouts as you drive through and indeed from the villages of the Grampians as well,” he said.

“You can see where the bushfire has been and I can tell you it’s a really unique opportunity to have a look at the Grampians and you won’t get to see them again like it.”
