Project partners of ‘Applied Multi-Risk Mapping of Natural Hazards for Impact Assessment’ (ARMONIA) will be hosting a conference in Barcelona, Spain, 5-6 December 2005. This conference, entitled ‘Multi-Hazards: Challenges for Risk Assessment, Mapping and Management’ will provide a forum for the discussion of the challenges raised by the spatial coincidence of, and interaction between, different forms of natural hazard.
The meeting will target the scientific community – particularly multi-hazard and multi-risk researchers from Europe. Participation from the policy community is encouraged.
Abstracts can be submitted to Dr. Helen Fay at Lancaster University, UK – h.fay@lancaster.ac.uk. Deadline for receipt of abstracts is Friday 23 September 2005.
