3rd International Conference on Wildland Fire 2003

The 3rd International Conference
on Wildland Fire
and
International Wildland Fire Summit

3-6 October 2003, Sydney, Australia

The 3rd International Conference on Wildland Fire will be held in Sydney, Australia, 3-6 October 2003. The conference will constitute a follow-up the First International Conference on Wildland Fire (Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A., 1989) and the Second International Conference on Wildland Fire (Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, 1997). It will be sponsored by the USDA Forest Service, the Australasian Fire Authorities Council, and NFPA International.

The 3rd International Wildland Fire Conference will be unique for a number of reasons, not the least of which is that definitive global outcomes are planned. Unique also, because the International Wildland Fire Summit that will follow the Conference will bring together policy makers of nations, international organizations, including the United Nations, who will be charged with progressing the promotion of global solutions to global problems.
