He clarified that the season of forest fires should end in early November. According to him, in the Astrakhan, Volgograd regions and in the north of the Krasnodar Territory, a high fire hazard is predicted in the next three to four days.
Wilfand noted that due to global warming over the past five years, the fire season has become almost a month longer.
Earlier, Vilfand also said that in the last week of October, abnormally warm weather will be established throughout Russia. According to him, in the regions of the Asian part of the country, the air temperature is predicted to be 10-15 degrees higher than the climatic norm, and in the European territory – by four degrees.
