GUATEMALA – Firefighters in Guatemala are witnessing a rise in forest fires amid the ongoing COVID-19 lockdown. Firefighters Roger Agustin and Eddy Mansill explain the problem has intensified due to the curfew imposed to stem the spread of the virus and fewer volunteers and community support staff, causing severe damage to the local ecosystem.
