Smoke from forest fire drifts over Dubrovnik this morning

CROATIA – Smoke wafting over the wider Dubrovnik region caused people to wonder if there was a forest fire in the near vicinity this morning. That recognisable smell of burning brush and trees drifted over Dubrovnik, Konavle and Zupa this morning as the wind brought smoke down from the mountains.

However, the Dubrovnik Fire Brigade have confirmed that there are no forest fires in the wider Dubrovnik region and that the source of the smoke is a fire in neighbouring Bosnia and Herzegovina.
