Fire Breaks Out In Puri Forest

INDIA – Puri: A fire broke out in Kanlapada forest under Delanga range in Puri district. Though no loss of human life has occurred in the incident,  huge loss of vegetation was reported.

As per reports, more than five acres of agricultural land along with bamboo, mango, chilies and several medicinal plants have been destroyed in this blaze. Besides, wildlife animals are critically injured due to the outbreak of fire.

On being informed, fire tenders from Delanga reached the spot and doused the flames after hours of ordeal. The incident has triggered panic among the locals.

The reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained, sources said.
