PORTUGAL – The fire that broke out late Sunday afternoon in the parish of Cabril, Montalegre municipality, Vila Real district, was given as dominated at 01h22, said Monday to Lusa source of the District Command of Operations and Relief (CDOS) of Real Village.
The fire, in the process of resolution, was still mobilizing at 3:20 am close to two hundred operatives, backed by around fifty land resources, according to the website of the National Civil Protection Authority. The fire alert in the Peneda-Gerês National Park was given at 5:55 pm Sunday.
The fire had two active fronts in a “very steep and rugged forest settlement”, with reduced access.

PORTUGAL – O incêndio que deflagrou ao final da tarde de domingo na freguesia de Cabril, concelho de Montalegre, distrito de Vila Real, foi dado como dominado às 01h22, disse esta segunda-feira à Lusa fonte do Comando Distrital de Operações e Socorro (CDOS) de Vila Real.
O incêndio, em fase de resolução, ainda mobilizava às 03h20 perto de duas centenas de operacionais, apoiados por cerca de meia centena de meios terrestres, segundo a página da Autoridade Nacional de Proteção Civil. O alerta para o incêndio no Parque Nacional da Peneda-Gerês foi dado às 17h55 de domingo.
O incêndio chegou a ter duas frentes ativas numa “zona de povoamento florestal muito íngreme e acidentada”, com acessos reduzidos.
