Firefighter died while extinguishing the National Park Bastak in the Jewish Autonomous Region

RUSSIA – INTERFAX – FAR EAST – A firefighter helirapeller of the Aerial Forest Fire Center of Jewish Autonomous Region died during forest firefighting in the territory of the Bastak National Park, the Forestry Department said on Wednesday.
The Department clarified to the agency “Interfax – Far East” that the tree, which burned deeply in the roots, fell to firefighter.
“The man died on the way to the hospital. law enforcement agencies took up the matter,” said a Department official.
The wildfire in the special protected territory is burning for several days. Currently, the fire covers about 7 hectares of the protected area.
The State Nature Reserve “Bastak” was established in 1997 on the territory of the Jewish Autonomous Region. It is located to the north of Birobidzhan to the administrative border of the autonomy with the Khabarovsk Krai. Its territory covers the southeastern spurs of the Bureinsky Range and the northern outskirts of the Middle Amur Lowland.

Во время тушения пожара на территории государственного заповедника “Бастак” погиб пожарный-десантник ОГАУ “База авиационной и наземной охраны лесов Еврейской автономной области”, сообщает Департамент лесного хозяйства в среду.
Как уточнили агентству “Интерфакс – Дальний Восток” в ведомстве, на пожарного упало дерево, которое сгорело у корня.
“Мужчина умер по дороге в больницу. Делом занялись правоохранительные органы”, – сказал сотрудник департамента.
Пожар на территории заповедника пытаются потушить уже несколько дней. В настоящее время огнем охвачено около 7 га охраняемой территории Государственный природный заповедник “Бастак” образован в 1997 году на территории Еврейской АО. Он расположен к северу от г. Биробиджан до административной границы автономии с Хабаровским краем. Его территория охватывает юго-восточные отроги Буреинского хребта и северную окраину Среднеамурской низменности.
