Chilean defence forces prepare for forest fire season

CHILE – The Chilean Defence Services were recently visited by the Commander-in-Chief of the Army, General Humberto Oviedo, the Director of the BAVE, General Gustavo Núñez, and the unit’s personnel. The group toured facilities and witnessed a sample of simulators and certification in the Training Centre, before a training exercise to extinguish forest fires was performed using a AS-532 ‘Cougar’ helicopter.
