La directora regional de Onemi, Alejandra Riquelme, explicó que la mesa técnica tiene como objetivo dar a conocer el plan de gestión, planteando tres ejes de trabajo, el primero de ellos es “la preparación de una serie de acciones de desarrollo de prevención en las comunidades, como el levantamiento de zonas de interfaz. Otro ámbito es la respuesta en términos de implementación”.
Agregó que como tercer eje se considera el ámbito comunicacional, “que tiene que ver en como informamos y preparamos a las comunidades para enfrentar las emergencias forestales”.
En el caso de Bombero, el presidente del Consejo de Comandante, Cristian López, manifestó que la institución está dispuesta a colaborar en lo necesario, ya que “es positivo coordinarse con todos los actores involucrados. Como bomberos pusimos nuestros recursos en la mesa” puntualizó.
Asimismo, se plantearon los criterios, responsabilidades y modalidades de comunicación entre las entidades involucradas en este tipo de emergencia. Al respecto el intendente, Pablo Silva, destacó que “estamos en proceso de prepararnos, tomando todos los resguardos posibles con el propósito de dar una respuesta rápida y eficaz ante un incendio forestal. Sabemos que nunca es suficiente, pero debemos estar más preparados que años anteriores”.
