AUSTRALIA – More than a dozen fire crews and two water bombing helicopters are battling a blaze in Sydney’s Lane Cove National Park.
A NSW Fire Rescue spokeswoman said it was the second fire on Lane Cove Road on Wednesday, and had begun as a spot fire from the first blaze that was now under control.
The fires have burned 10 hectares and firefighters have been battling the second fire for more than two hours, the RFS spokeswoman said, adding that no properties were under threat.
