Georgia / NATO – On 29 August, EADRCC received a request for assistance to fight a major forest fire that started on 29 August at 10:00 AM local time in a conifer forest near the Georgian National Astrophysical Observatory. The fire has already affected around 5 hectares in the Abastumani Resort in the Samtskhe-Javakheti region, Georgia. Inhabited areas are not yet under danger but could be affected by the fire.
