Chile – El 27 de diciembre de 2011 se produjo uno de los incendios más extensos registrado en Chile, y tuvo lugar en el sector Olguín, al interior del Parque Nacional Torres del Paine. Desde temprano, representantes trasandinos y nacionales, expertos en esta materia, se congregaron en el edificio del Agro, en Avenida Bulnes 309, con el fin de compartir tecnologías, experiencias, exponer recursos, desarrollar estrategias y conocer capacidades operativas con el propósito de canalizar y agilizar los procesos de ayuda mutua en emergencias de fuego de origen antrópico.
La idea es articular todas estas herramientas ante un incendio y tener previamente los mecanismos de traslado, brigadas, camiones, aviones, helicópteros y en forma recíproca poderlos movilizar. Es decir, los recursos están.
