India — Forest fire was reported from Gundre forest range under Bandipur National Park limits in H D Kote taluk on Sunday.

After a severe fire broke out at Bandipur National Park a month ago, another forest fire has been reported at Gundre forest range. The forest fire is suspected to be a manmade fire as miscreants allegedly set afire the forest near Mattan Moole Beat during Tekkalaswami jatre on Sunday.

Around 10 acres of vegetation have been destroyed in the fire. As the region experienced rain on Sunday evening, the fire was contained. However, forest department personnel have not confirmed the reason for the fire.
