Crews battling wildfire at big bend national park

USA Big Bend Nat’l Park — Fire crews are currently battling a wildfire at Big Bend National Park.
According to Big Bend National Park the fire is reportedly under four acres and firefighters are currently at the scene along with investigators who are investigating the cause.
Due to the wildfire that sparked up Saturday officials at Big Bend National Park made the following closures:
All hiking along the east rim trail from boot Canyon to the south rim Junction, all cut campsites along the east Rim including Northeast 1-5 and Southeast 1-4.
The south rim trail is still open along with Laguna Meadows and Pinnacles Trail and any other Associated backpacking campsites.
Big Bend National Park urges all visitors to abide by these closures for your safety and for the effectiveness of the firefighters on scene.
Due to an ongoing wildland fire that started January 21st on the East Rim of the Chisos Mountains, the following closures are in effect: all hiking along the East Rim Trail from Boot Canyon to the South Rim junction, all campsites along the East Rim including NE 1-5 and SE 1-4.
The fire is reported to be under 4 acres, firefighters are on scene, and investigations continue regarding the cause of the fire.
In addition, some bear closures remain in effect. The South Rim Trail remains open, as well as Laguna Meadows and Pinnacles Trail along with associated backpacking campsites. Please see attached map for details or ask at a visitor center.
