Megafon launches forest fire protection system in Smolensk

Russia Russian mobile operator Megafon has launched a video-surveillance system aimed at protecting forests in the Smolensk region from fire, reports Comnews.ru. Around 15 video-cameras were installed on Megafon’s towers in the area. A system from Formoza-Service was used to install the system.
Megafon also provided the system with secure data links connecting video-cameras with a server, as well as with a leased link connecting the server with the fire protection service.
