Kenya — At least 400 hectares of indigenous trees were destroyed in a forest fire in Londiani subcounty.
The fire is suspected to have been started by chang’aa brewers in Mau West Forest forest on Tuesday.
The fire was put out on Thursday. Kericho county ecosystem conservator Thomas Kiptoo said the fire spread fast due to the prolonged dry spell and the strong winds.
