One killed in forest fire in Surunga in Jhapa

Nepal — A woman was killed in a forest fire that raged through the Kankai community forest in Surunga of Jhapa on Sunday evening.

The woman of around 25 years, who is yet to be identified, was found dead inside the forest, according to Area Police Office, Birtamod.

The team of locals and police had found her, as they were trying to put off the fire in the forest.
