Australia —  MAN has been hospitalised after a grassfire destroyed a caravan on Mt Sibley Rd at Ascot, south of Toowoomba.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Service spokeswoman said crews were called to a grassfire at 11.58am.

“By the time they arrived one caravan was fully involved (in flames),” the spokeswoman said.

The grassfire burnt an area of about 2000m2.

Paramedics tended to one person at the scene for smoke inhalation and another person for a medical condition.
