Russia — The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia will deploy a space monitoring station for the prevention and prediction of emergency situations in the Urals, said the Deputy Head of the Russian Emergencies Ministry Vladimir Stepanov.
“The station for space monitoring will be established in the Sverdlovsk region in the first half of the year. It will cover the northern part of the Arctic Zone, the Urals and the Volga region “, – he said.
Vladimir Stepanov pointed out that today only 15% of the Russian territory is not covered by space monitoring.
“After its introduction in the Urals, this area will be reduced to 5 %,” – Deputy Head of the Russian Emergencies Ministry said.
