India — A massive fire erupted in the dense forests of Karnah near the Line of Control in north Kashmir on Friday night. A large number of trees have been burnt down.
The fire is believed to have been caused as electricity transmission line of 33000 KV snapped. An official of the fire and emergency services, Abdul Gani told Kashmir News Service that the local residents of Danah village and firefighters worked together in dousing the flames.
It took us eight hours to extinguish the forest fire, but the fire could still be alive somewhere and the operation by the department is still going on.
