Crest Forest fire engine accident hospitalizes pedestrian

USA — A fire engine struck and badly hurt a pedestrian in the Crestline-area mountain town of Crest Forest, say California Highway Patrol officers.

The accident was reported at about midnight Tuesday, Dec. 10, outside the Crest Forest fire station, 23407 Crest Forest Drive.

The victim is a 23-year-old Chino man who suffered chest and back injuries was in critical condition injuries Tuesday night at Loma Linda University Medical Center, said CHP Officer Alfredo Chen.

No other details were available Wednesday.

“We should have a better sense of what happened by next week, hopefully,” Chen said.
