Spain — More than 20 forest fires were registered in South Eastern Norway on Friday, most of them in the Hedmark and Oppland counties.

Fire fighting helicopters and planes together with by Civil Defence crews assited the fire departments in a number of places, and most fires were brought under control by nightfall.

Most of Friday’s fires were started by lightning, after a low pressure area is moving in to replace weeks of high pressure over the region.

In a number of municipalities, the use of open fires and disposable grills have been banned for the past week.
