United Kingdom — Firefighters are battling a grass fire on Castle Rock.

Crews used King’s Stables Road to get at the fire on the northern side of Edinburgh Castle.

Several calls were made to fire authorities after people witnessed the blaze about 5.50pm.

A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said the cause of the fire was still unknown.

She said: “It’s a large area of grass on fire and we’re at work with a high pressure hose reel.”
