USA — The city of Lemon Grove is bringing in some furry friends to help with fire prevention.
A herd of 200 goats will help clear several acres of dry brush that present a fire hazard.
The animals will eat away at the brush near Central Avenue and Liberty Charter High School.
The herd is expected to chew through nine acres over the next three weeks.
Fire officials say the goats are a cheap and environmentally friendly solution to the threat of brush fires.
These fire preventing goats have previously been used in Ramona and El Cajon, where their hearty munching helped reduce the risk of brush fires.
